Itinerary

Arrive at Delhi Airport. Meets Wild India Journey representative and drive to hotel. Overnight in Hotel Shanti Palace or Similar. Meals- Dinner only.

After breakfsat drive to the Corbett National Park, Uttrakhand. We will stop on the way at the holy river Ganges to see wintering Gulls & Terns as well as Hindu pilgrims bathing and worship in the river. They believe that bathing in its waters washes away sin. Hindus also have built many temples for cremating, or burning, the dead bodys along the Ganges. They scatter the ashes on the river, believing that the dead will go straight to heaven.

Leter contineu to the Corbett National Park. Arrive Corbett at the lunch time.  Check in at the Corbett Machaan Resort or similar and, after lunch, we will explore the river edge at Kumeria in the afternoon for a variety of birds, including the possibility of both Tawny and Brown Fish Owls, Asian Barred Owlet, Plumbeous Water and White-capped Redstarts, Brown Dipper, Wallcreeper and three possible species of forktails. With luck, an Ibisbill will be wintering here.

Overnight at Corbett Machaan Resort or Similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Morning and afternoon jungle safari in the Corbett National Park looking for variety of unique birds as well as Royal Bengal Tiger, Leopard, Asian Elephant and more.

Corbett National Park comprises 520.8 km2 (201.1 sq mi) area of hills, Dense moist deciduous forest, riverine belts, marshy depressions, grasslands and a large lakes. The elevation ranges from 1,300 to 4,000 ft (400 to 1,220 m). More than 586 species of resident and migratory birds have been categorised, including the Wedge-tailed Green Pigeon, Plum-headed Parakeet, Tawny fish Owl, Asian-barred Owlet, Great Barbet, Grey-headed Woodpecker, Brown-fronted Woodpecker, Ashy Drongo, Bar-winged Flycatcher Shrike, Eurasian Jay, Black-headed Jay, Red-billed Blue Magpie, Grey Treepie, Long-tailed Minivet, Scaly-breasted Munia, Yellow-breasted Green Finch and many more. Thick jungle and plentiful prey make this reserve an ideal habitat for Royal Bengal Tigers who are opportunistic feeders and prey upon a range of animals.

Morning birding in Sitavani, Kumeria, Mohan, Garjia and adjoining areas looking for the Great slaty woodpecker, Common green magpie, Black-crested & Himalayan Bulbul, Black-chinned, Babbler, Rufous Sibia, Streaked and White-crested Laughingthrush, Dark-sided Flycatcher, Ultramarine Flycatcher, Little Pied Flycatcher, Grey-headed Canary Flycatcher, Verditer Flycatcher, Grey-hooded Warbler, Ashy-throated Warbler, Grey Bushchat, Blue Whistling Thrush and many more. Afternoon Jungle Safari in to the Corbett National Park.

After a morning Jungle Safari in the Corbett National Park, we check out and proceed to Pangot, with birding stops en route for birding. We arrive in Pangot for a late lunch and afternoon birding around the lodge looking for Green Backed Tit, Black-throated Tit, Bar-tailed Tree creeper , White-tailed Nuthatch, Black-headed Jay, Chestnut-bellied Rock Thrush and many more himalayan birds.

Overnight in hotel Seclude Pangot Perch or Similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Full day birding in and around the Pangot. we will take a variety of local walks through the oak, pine and rhododendron forests. A packed breakfast will be taken with us on our easy paced trek to Kilbury, where we will encounter an excellent selection of Himalayan species, including Bearded and Himalayan Vultures, Kalij Pheasant, Blue-winged Minla, Spotted and Slaty-backed Forktails, Rufous-bellied Woodpecker, Rufous-bellied Niltava, and Red-billed Blue Magpie. The numerous perennial and seasonal creeks in this area are home to an amazing variety of flora and fauna, and with luck we may come across some of these, including Leopard, Himalayan Palm Civet, Yellow-throated Marten, Ghoral, Sambar and Barking Deer. After lunch at the lodge, we will probably check lower altitudes for a greater variety of birds. 

Other birds we hope to see in and around Pangot included both Cheer and Koklass Pheasants, Crested Serpent Eagle, Mountain Hawk-Eagle, various woodpeckers including Brown-fronted and Himalayan, thrushes such as Black-throated and Mistle, warblers such as Tickell’s Leaf, Greenish, Whistler’s, and Grey-hooded, flycatchers such as Asian Brown, Ultramarine, and Verditer, laughingthrushes such as White-throated, Striated, Streaked, and Chestnut-crowned, accentors, Upland Pipit, Blue-winged Minla, Whiskered Yuhina, Slaty-headed and Red-breasted Parakeets, Long-tailed and Grey-backed Shrikes, Chestnut-bellied Rock Thrush, Himalayan Bluetail, Blue-capped Redstart, and Himalayan Prinia. One true rarity here is Grey-crowned Prinia, rarely seen anywhere else in India. We will also visit nearby Baggar and Gughu Kham where, as well as the birds mentioned above, we may find Brown Fish Owl, Brown Wood Owl, and Long-billed Thrush.

Overnight in hotel Seclude Pangot Perch or Similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Final mornig birding in Pangot looking for the target birds if we missed any in previous days. After breakfast, check out and proceed to to Sattal. We will stop on the way at Barapatthar-Nainital for birding, later continue to the Sattal. We will arrive in Pangot at lunch time and afternoon birding around the lodge and Sattal forest.

Sattal or Sat Tal (seven lakes) is an interconnected group of seven freshwater lakes situated in the Lower Himalayan Range near Bhimtal, a town of the Nainital district in Uttarakhand, India. Set amongst dense forests of oak and pine trees, Sattal is one of the few unspoiled and unpolluted freshwater biomes in India. Sattal is unique for its biodiversity and ecological amplitude. It is known to be a birding paradise and supports a number of local and migratory birdlife. It has over 500 species of resident and migratory birds.

Full day birding in and around Sattal.

Particular efforts whilst birding around Sattal will be made to see the secretive Rufous-throated and Common Hill Partridges. We can also expect to see Green-tailed Sunbird, Eurasian Griffon, Red-billed Blue Magpie, Grey-capped Pygmy Woodpecker, Lesser Yellownape, Blue-throated and Golden-throated Barbets, Slaty-headed Parakeet, Rufous-gorgeted Flycatcher, Red-billed Leothrix, Rufous-chinned Laughingthrush, Ashy and Mountain Bulbuls, and Golden Bush Robin for example. For photographers there will be an opportunity to spend some time in a local hide, where many of these species present super close photographic opportunities.

Overnight in hotel Wild Kumaon Sattal  or Similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Final morning birding in Sattal. After breakfast, check out and proceed back to Delhi. We will stop on the way in a resorent for lunch. Arrive delhi in the late afternoon.

Overnight in hotel Shanti Palace or Similar. Meals: Breakfast & Dinner.

After breakfast drive to Sultanpur National Park (01 hour drive from the hotel). Birding in and around the national park looking for Sind sparrow, Brooks's Leaf Warbler, Sarus Crane, Black Francolin, Common Hoopoe, Paddyfield Pipit, Purple Sunbird, Little Cormorant, Eurasian Thick-knee, Gray Francolin, , Indian Roller, White-throated Kingfisher, Spot-billed Duck, White Ibis, Black-headed Ibis, Painted Stork, Crested Lark, Red-vented Bulbul, Rose-ringed Parakeet, Greater Flamingo, Ruff, Northern Pintail, Yellow Wagtail, White Wagtail, Rosy Pelican, Eurasian Wigeon, Black-tailed Godwit, Spotted Redshank, Bluethroat, Long-billed Pipit and many more. Afternoon drive to Bharatpur (04 hours drive).

Overnight in hotel Udai Villas Palace or similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Full days Birding in and around The Keoladeo National Park, looking for Sarus Crane, Greater Painted Snipe, Grey and Black Francolin, Dusky Eagle Owl, Indian Courser, Egyptian Vulture, Oriental Honey-buzzard , Red-headed Vulture, Crested Serpent-Eagle, Short-toed Snake-Eagle, Indian Spotted Eagle, Greater Spotted Eagle, Booted Eagle, Tawny Eagle, Steppe Eagle, Imperial Eagle, Bonelli's Eagle, White-eyed Buzzard, Eurasian Marsh-Harrier. The Keoladeo Ghana National Park, also known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, is without a doubt one of the best places in Asia for birdwatching. The Sanctuary offers a variety and abundance of birdlife that is unmatched outside of Africa, and the sheer number of birds there will inevitably astound you. We will witness an exceptional variety of waterbirds, raptors, and some animals during one of the greatest seasons to visit Bharatpur. The shaded, tree-lined bunds of the flooded "jheels" make for the ideal location for both birdwatchers and photographers.

Day visit to the National Chambal Sanctuary.

After early breakfast with packed lunch drive to National Chambal Sanctuary. The Chambal River, the lifeblood of all the species in the Sanctuary, is where we will be enjoying our boat journey. There is a great variety of aquatic species in this area, and some of the highlights we're expecting to see on these expeditions are the Gangetic River Dolphin, Marsh Crocodile, Gharial (fish-eating Crocodile) and freshwater turtles.

The National Chambal Sanctuary was established to preserve this unique river ecology, with its diverse flora, aquatic life, and avifauna. The River Chambal is one of the country's most beautiful and least polluted river systems. The surroundings surrounding the river are a genuine bird watcher's paradise and present an opportunity to add several species that are not found at Bharatpur, including the unusual Indian Skimmer and the Black-bellied Tern, which is frequently spotted resting on sandbars in the middle of the river.

Other attractions include the beautiful Small Pratincole, the Great Thick-knee and many other water birds, including Little and Great Cormorants, Grey Heron, Cattle Egret, Lesser Whistling-duck, the Bar-headed Goose, Ruddy Shelduck, Comb Duck, Gadwall, Eurasian Wigeon, Burmese Spot-billed Duck, Northern Shoveler, Northern Pintail, Eurasian Teal, Red-crested Pochard, Osprey, Common Coot, Black-winged Stilt, Little Ringed and Kentish Plovers, River and Red-wattled Lapwings, Common and Spotted Redshanks, Common Greenshank, Green, Wood and Common Sandpipers, Little and Temminck’s Stints, and Pallas’s Gull. Other species present in the area include Black Kite, Steppe Eagle, Indian Peafowl, Rock Dove, Eurasian Collared Dove, Rose-ringed (or Ring-necked) Parakeet, Indian Roller, White-throated and Pied Kingfishers, Sand Lark, Plain Martin, Barn and Wire-tailed Swallows, White, Masked and White-browed Wagtails, Large Grey and Jungle Babblers, Common and Bank Mynas, Black Drongo and many more. Evening drive back to Keoladeo-Bharatpur.

After breakfast drive to Agra. visit The Taj Mahal & Agra Fort. Here you can shopping also if want because Agra is also famous for its precious and semi precious stone and handicrafts. After lunch in a restaurant drive back to Delhi airport. TOUR END
