One of the best-known places to see wildlife in Nepal was Chitwan National Park. This wild jewel of Nepal is a must-see for anyone traveling to this tiny nation because it is home to a healthy population of One-horned Rhinoceros, Tigers, Hog Deer, Asian Elephants and uncommon mammals like Spotted Linsangs, Red Pandas and more. It also has more than 500 species of birds, making unique bird-watching experience.

After a delicious breakfast, we'll begin our 5-hour trip from Kathmandu to Chitwan. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your accommodation for relaxation and birdwatching around the lodge. Chitwan is a district in Nepal that is home to the World Heritage-listed reserve Chitwan National Park, which is one of Nepal's top tourist attractions.
The hotel Chitwan Gaida Lodge will give overnight accommodations.
On this day, you will be taken on a wildlife safari of the reserve, where you will be able to join in activities such as Dugout Canoeing, Bird Watching, Wildlife Safari, and Nature Walk. You will be returned to your Chitwan Gaida Lodge for the night.
We will reach the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve in Eastern Nepal's Saptari and Sunsari districts by car in about six hours. It is situated on the Sapta Koshi's flood plains. The Reserve provides vital habitat for many different species of wildlife.
The reserve is popular for bird watching. There are 423 different bird species including 20 different types of ducks, ibises, numerous storks, egrets, and herons, as well as several endangered ones, such as the Bengal Florican, Greater Adjutant, Lesser Florican, Spot-billed Pelican, Pied Harrier, Hodgson's Bush Chat, Bristled Grassbird, and Swamp Francolin. Amazingly, 183 different bird species can be spotted here in a single day, and tourists should easily observe a minimum of 100 different species in a single day.

We will spend the entire day strolling around and viewing birds in the Koshi Tappu wildlife reserve. This region has been a good habitat for numerous bird species due to the thin Indian Rosewood forest. The greatest spot to observe the bird is between the camp and Kusaha. During our stroll through the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, we will see a variety of bird species such as Warblers, Flycatchers, Orioles, Bush Warblers, Raptors, Swamp Francolin, Lesser Whistling Duck, Yellow-footed Green Pigeon, Blue-throated Barbet, Bengal Florican, Indian Cuckoo, Common Hawk-Cuckoo and many more.
We will return to hotel in the late afternoon after a long day of bird-watching.
Early morning you can either enjoy bird watching close to hotel area or have leisure walk. After breakfast you depart to Biratnagar to catch flight for Kathmandu.
