Beginning the journey in Kathmandu, we explore the historic district with its rock lanes, historic temples, and vibrant market stalls filled with gift shops and stores offering shawls, carpets, and trekking gear. Swayambhunath Stupa, a 2500-year-old Buddhist stupa with the eyes of Buddha painted on its pinnacle observing the good deeds of the valley's residents, is one of the area's main tourist attractions. Out of all the hills that surround the Kathmandu valley, Phulchowki is the tallest. It is a well-liked hiking location that offers spectacular views 18 miles southeast of the valley.
More than 100 different bird species can be seen in the Royal Botanical Garden at the Godavari, which is located at the base of the hill.
In the eastern Terai's Sapta Kosi River floodplain are the vast mudflats, reed beds, and freshwater marshes that makeup Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve. It is recognised as an Important Bird Area along with the Koshi Barrage. Wetland birds of many different species can be found living in riverine habitats. We then travel to the Chitwan National Park, which is far from the city's bustle. The journey is a fascinating six hours through mountain roads, tiny hamlets, villages, and naturally beautiful panoramas. Due to the variety of ecosystems in Chitwan and its location in a tropical lowland, more bird species (nearly 480) have been identified here than in any other region in Nepal. Over the course of our two nights, we can anticipate seeing one-third of these.
We'll take canoes, elephants, jeeps, and foot tours of the park. In Chitwan, we may also indulge in a variety of other activities, such as village tours, cultural events, and the most well-known excursion to an elephant breeding facility. We can make arrangements for you to visit Tharu communities and get a taste of their way of life. The largest and least impacted national park in Nepal's Terai, Bardia National Park has an area of 968 sq km. More than 50 different types of mammals and more than 400 different bird species have access to a diverse range of vegetation types, including grassland, riverine, and woodland regions.
